hello, well i finally feel good enough to come upstairs and use my computer for a bit. i had my upper/lower surgery on the 3rd so its been almost a week. the surgery went well. i've been very swollen and now am becoming very bruised. i found out a couple days ago that i will have to go back under so they can fix a screw or something on my bottom jaw. not happy!! i feel i'm at my best when i can actually breathe through my nose. not being able to do that puts me in a bad mood. trying to eat is another thing, i'm having so much trouble keeping the liquid in my mouth or not choking on it. am i doing something wrong? i'm hoping tommorow goes okay and doesn't set me back to much. i will post in a few days hopefully. thanks to everyone for your words of encouragment. also, anything i eat or drink just doesn't taste good. any ideas? thanks so much

Good luck tomorrow. Did they give you or recommend any nasal sprays with the congestion? I was also on Sudafed in addition to nasal sprays to help with the congestion. Bad enough being all closed up-most unpleasant to not be able to breathe through your nose. I am so glad that part is over-now if I could just get this bloody splint out all would be well :)

I hope everything went well and you are feeling better. My OS told me to tak a decongestent for the stuffiness after my SARPE. It is really hard to eat when nothing tastes good to try to put only GOOD things in. Make the most of what you do eat and drink.
