Recovery is a long process

#1 Post by smile2006 »

Hello All-

I'm over six months post-op now and I wanted to let those who have had surgery recently not to be disappointed by lingering numbness. I had upper, lower and genio (with widening of the upper) on July 13th. I can say only recently have I gotten "convincing" feeling return to most of my bottom lip and chin. I knew it was getting better and better but over the past 2 weeks or so, I have really gained sensation and it is wonderful. My lip feels its normal size, I feel cold/hot fully, and kissing is almost all the way back. Recovery is a long process, be patient

That's awesome about your feeling returning! congrats!

It's a shame it had to take 6 months.

It is so hard for me to be patient. I want mine back NOW. I guess it comes back when it is ready.

Congrats again!!
