Questions about class II

Hi everyone,
A guy i know has an overbite.He said he want to do surgery,his overbite is big,and he wants to know what is the maximum movement for class II.And also how many mm can they move your genio.And last,if the movement required is too big,do they move your upper jaw also?Even if teh upper jaw has no problems?

I had a lower jaw advancement of 13mm, this was considered by my surgeon to be a fairly large movement. Im guessing that in a very severe case they may move the upper jaw too, to even things out abit, bone grafts are also an option. This sort of thing depends alot on the individual case and the individual surgeon.
