Wisdom tooth extraction and SARPE surgery together?

#1 Post by shazmuls »

I'm wondering if these two lads are ever done together? Different parts of the jaw right so I'm thinking perhaps they are done together.

Yes, they are very often done at the same time, since removal of the wisdom teeth allows for greater ease of expansion and less chance of complication involving the 3rd molars. My surgeon told me this during my pre-op 2 weeks ago. I just had this done this past Monday.

Yep. Though I had my lowers removed at the same time to prepare for further surgery  But for whatever reasons, yes, they usually are done at the same time

thanks folks,
I certainly hoping that can be the case for me. I'm going to be having lefort 1 Id say of about 5/6 mm advacement to fix my underbite.

I require expansion and wisdoms out so if I can get expansion via sarpe and wisdoms out during the one surgery it should mean I can actually get the big one (le fort) six months after that. The alternative being extractions and waiting six months for healing and then getting sarpe and waiting another six month for healing from that before le fort.

sarpe and wisdoms tooth extraction together obviously will allow me to get this process over with a quick as possible.

cheers.
