I cant believe it.

Got the molar bands removed at my last appt. 2 weeks ago and todays appt was to make retainer impression. Im getting just the regular ole retainer- Hawley- I guess. She let me pick out the colors. Red on bottom and sparkly blue on top.

Making the immpressions was kind of scary. I am at 4 months post op BSSO and opening wide enough to do the impression was a bit challenging. I have almost got all my ROM back though as it still gets better everyday. Just a tad of numbness now along the bottom lip/ chin area. That has improved daily as well. This was so worth it- cant wait to see my teeth without brackets.

I'm so jealous. I can wait for the 4 month mark! I would love to know if you feel like your face changes any when you remove the braces.

Congrats on being able to brush all over your teeth, lick them and having no more stuck food! Wowow! Would love to see pics!

Congratulations!
We have the same date! I will be braces free on Oct 8 as well.
It was such a journey. Over 2 yrs of braces + surgery...
When I think of all the ups and especially the downs ...I am just glad it is coming hopefully to an end...but part of me is scared and I don't know why?

Low self esteam. Common problem for US and Canada, why? Not sure...

You will be fine, no worries...
