Hello all,

I have a surgery date of the 9th Jan - I will have been in braces 11 months by then. I have actually enjoyed and seen some amazing changes since having my braces and this stage has been 100 million % worth it...

I'm now quite anxious about the surgery - Le Fort poss 3mm and BSSO 6mm ish (exact measurements to be decided 18th Dec). I'm concerned about how I'll look afterwards and I've read reports on here that people don't feel like themselves lookwise or eating etc....

How long after surgery did you not feel delicate with eating/afraid people will knock you....

Lots of positive feedback and photos please....what if I don't like the new me - I might have a slightly gummy smile and goofy teeth but I don't consider myself ugly and I've got used to the way I look - sometimes I think maybe I should just have the braces off but what if I regret that decision for the rest of my life?!

hi kelly i dont think from the front you will notice much difference in your looks i think it would be more noticable from the side, dont worry too much you will look great nerves are always going to get the better of you and the 3mm up top isnt a massive change. your have a chin tho:-) im looking forward to that bit hehe
