I see that most of you saw your ortho, then your oral surgeon.
I saw my oral surgeon he told me I needed braces, then I saw my ortho and got the braces. Now I am just wondering when do I see the Oral surgeon again? Do I wait till my Ortho says to, or should I go see my surgeon and let him see my progress?
Also how many times did you see your oral surgen before your surgery?
I think I did things backwards

I don't think you did things backwards..don't worry.
I think your ortho has to decide when to send you back to the surgeon. Just keep checking in with him/her.. just say how am I doing, when do you think i might be ready to see the surgeon again?
Also.. to be honest, I first saw my surgeon last may when I had my wisdom teeth out from him. My pre-op is feb 25th. thats only the SECOND time I will have met him, and my surgery is the week after that! So I havent seen him a whole lot! lol

You're not backwards at all! I saw my surgeon for a wisdom tooth removal - she offered me the treatment and sent me to see my ortho that works alongside her. I saw my surgeon in Jan 08 to see if I wanted to proceed with the treatment again April 08 for my other 3 wisdom teeth to be removed. Then not until Oct for a joint consultation to see if she was happy to operate/see my progress.
I saw her for two more joint consultations with my ortho before surgery (wk before and day before) and then the morning of the op!
Hope this helps - it's a long journey but now I'm on the other side and can see the benefits/amazing straight gummy free smile already - trust me it's worth the months of treatment and it flys by.

Thank you guys very much. The only reason that I am in such a hurry is becuse I am on a time limit. I have to and I honestly mean HAVE to have this surgery by summer and out of braces by October. The end of October. My ortho is trying so hard to make that happen. So now I have another question.... Do your teeth have to be perfectly gap~less to get hte surgery? Or can their be like a .5mm gap inbetween some of my teeth. I would upload pictures of my teeth but I cant figure out how to do it...
