I have come to the decision I want to change my weak jaw structure. My mother's side of the famly has extremely weak jaws, but now I just starting to realize how bad I could be in the future. I currently have invisaline. Will my invisaline treatment I've had so far be a complete waste? How should I go about telling my orthodontist? He sort of talked me out of the surgery, but I did say I may want it in the future. Any thoughts are appreciated. This is been very hard for me.

Hi Joe,
Just wanted to say hi and welcome to the forum. I think no-one has got back to you on this as it's impossible for us to say whether your invisalign work will go to waste, you really need an orthodontists opinion. Given your ortho's reaction so far however, it might be best finding another one if you don't feel like your present guy is on your wavelength.
However I do think you should tell your current ortho first as he's responsible for the work already done, and push him for a response. I know how intimidating ortho's can be, but remember that you're the one who's paying for his services so he must take due consideration of your concerns.
Good luck!
