Retruded chin with difficulty breathing.....

I've read about folks who have developed retruded chins following ortho and many other procedures. Mine was caused by splint therapy. In the event you develop difficulty breathing because of this does it correct itself? When I begin ortho this may change things again as well as orthognathic surgery. Has anyone had this problem?
