Did my Ortho ruin my midline?

Recently I noticed that my two front teeth and midline of my mouth don't meet like they used to be? Is this something I need to be concerned about? I will be having BSSO surgery......

Does this happen to anyone here?

My formerly perfect midline was shifted by the ortho pre-surgery also. Apparently it wasn't perfectly lined up on my face. Now, post-surgery everything is lined up nicely again. I wouldn't worry about it.

My midline was already off before I had surgery, so perhaps I'm not the best person to comment on this. However, I'm under the impression that one's bite gets worse before they have surgery?
And I assume that your midline will be perfect or very near it after surgery because your surgeon will be lining everything up surgically? (My midline is pretty much dead on now.) Hope that helps in some small way.

My oral surgeon says that if my ortho can't line up my mide line (upper jaw) then its okay becuase he will fix it when he does the surgery. I'm not sure if this is the case for everyone or not.....
i'll have to post pics of my midline...its WAY off.

This is absolutely true, because my midline was way off prior to my surgery and was PERFECT after surgery.
