Good results after surgery?

#1 Post by GiverSSJ »

For those who went through surgery, are you glad you did it? How did you like the results of the surgery?

I went through BSSO (lower jaw setback) over 2 weeks ago, and now I really love my new bite. However, the profile is not as I expected. Maybe after just 2 weeks and with all the splint and rubber bands still on, my "new" profile is just not exactly what it will look like. And I'm hoping that it will change for the better in the couple of weeks. :D

I'm about 6 weeks post op now (I had a BSSO) and I'm really, really glad I did it. The first two weeks after surgery, I wished I hadn't. It was hard to look at the big picture when I felt miserable, was swollen, couldn't eat, etc. But now that I'm pretty much back to normal (besides some numbness and still not being able to eat hard foods), I can appreciate the result and I'm ecstatic about it. :)
