Upper & Lower Expanders OUT!!!!

To be brief, this is how I feel:
OK I think that's enough...When I'm finally done with this journey I know it will be even more gratifying, so I have to save some emoticons for that.
This morning my Ortho removed my upper and lower hyrax expanders. After a LONG 7 months with them, it was an unbelievable feeling when they came out. My first reaction was total shock at how big my mouth felt. It's only been a couple of hours and I'm already starting to get used to it, so that "odd feeling" is already dwindling. But, this is MUCH better then getting used to having them put in there.
I also had the back molars banded, and a thicker archwire placed on the bottom. I also have a rubber band on the right side to start to fix my crossbite. So, I may have some pain for a few days, but it is pain I gladly welcome.
I'm off for a week or so on vacation, so I probably won't be able to post until I get back.
For those of you that are having surgery while I am gone I wish you nothing but the best and I can't wait to hear your successful stories when I return.
