A moment of levity

Sometimes you have to look for the funny side of life.

So, since my surgery... let's just say  I am a tad bit ....let's
say "blocked" I have been taking stool softners, but nothing...nada...
zip! I have been drinking fluids like crazy. What to do? I look over at
my daughter's food pantry (she's 22 months) . She has some puree prunes kicking around, and mommy grabs them, AND grabs one of her baby spoons and starts slurping away. Well, my little monkey was so puzzled. If you could have seen her face. It was pricelss....she said "mama funny" and started cracking up. Boy it hurts to laugh, but it feels so good.

She wasn't done. After her tubbie I was getting her into her pajamas and she pointed at my Boo Boo ... kept her finger there and said "ABC, ABC Mama!"
So I am exhausted, DH is in Italy on Buisness for a week
I kiss her little hand and she starts singing her ABC's. She sings and I get the rest of her pjs on. so..."Q, R, S, T, U, V, W " here she pauses and points again to my face ....she continues X .....Y and Z..........
I start to crack up. My babe has just recognized the letter X on my face!
Otherwise known as a cross stitch from the surgery... It sure is the letter X!!!! I need to write this down in her baby book!
Too funny....just thought I would share and maybe lighten a couple of
minutes for someone!

okay....remember to breathe!
be well
Ellie

oh...any other funny do-dads welcome

You can try Miralax if you want to. Prune juice may be good too. Worst case you may have to visit your primary care physicians You don't want to end up with a fissure.

so..I got creative with the blender last night....

8 whole dried prunes
1 cup apple juice
1 cup applesauce

if you make it be careful of non blended pieces of prunes,

I have to say it was yummy and certainly did the trick!!!

May be we should try commercializing this recipe. Time to file a patent :)
