Finding an oral surgeon

#1 Post by GiverSSJ »

Was it hard for you to an oral surgeon that deals with orthognathic surgery? I was calling a few places in my area where they kept on telling me(these were oral surgeon offices) that they do not do SARPE surgery here. I finally ended up finding someone who does it, albeit ten towns away from me. Anyone here have the same problem?

You haven't said what area you are from to compare to. Usually you go to see an orthodontist first who decides what type of surgery you need (if any), and the ortho refers you to a surgeon who they know can perform the surgery you require. Also, in some parts of the world they have different names for the some of the types of orthognathic surgery so there might be an issue there.
