My ortho has tackled some pretty amazing cases. I've browsed through some of them and its shocking how well a bite can come together without surgery.
(I think I could have avoided my previous and upcoming second jaw surgery).
Have any of you looked into Wilckodontics or correction with TADs (temporary anchorage devices)?

When I was starting this process, one of the three orthos I consulted with suggested TADs to close my open bite/overjet/overbite, whereas the other two said I was definitely a surgery case. It's always been in the back of my mind as to whether he could have actually fixed it, but my main concern was stability, since this is my second go-round with braces (and so obviously just straightening teeth wouldn't be maintained). That particular ortho didn't provide me with a case that wasn't a teenager, however, so I'm not sure how much the technique has been tested on adults, and that's why I decided not to go that route. I'm not saying either way whether it works or that it isn't possible to do...just throwing my experience in, since it's rare on this board that I have experience (I'm still waiting for my surgery).
What is your bite like, exactly?
