rhinoplasty and jaw surgery

#1 Post by jo198244 »

Im starting the long process of SARPE, Le Fort I, BSSO and genio some time in the next few months but for the last couple of months, before I knew I had to have the jaw work done, I have been looking into having rhinoplasty to reduce the width of my nose and the tip also reduced. I could have this surgery in May time but am wondering if I should wait a couple of years until I have finished my jaw work as I dont want to spend so much money on rhinoplasty to have my nose changed by the jaw surgery, but I also really, really hate my nose and want to change it asap. Any thoughts?

As you are having the other surgeries it makes sense to wait until after. That way the rhinoplasty can take into account the new shape of your face, as you want a nose that is proportionate to it.

Good luck!

Yes, wait. The surgeries themselves will change your nose slightly; and you never know, that slight change might actually make all the difference, without need of additional surgery on the nose
