Unerupted tooth, now going sideways and crossed the midline

#1 Post by sda0 »

I was told I will need surgery for what is apparently not a very common problem. It needs to be fixed before I can have my lower braces put on.

One of my lower incisors never erupted through the gums, but instead turned horizontally under the surface and has been moving...its now crossed the midline. I am told I'll need to have it cut out and have a bone graft.

While I am unconscious they're going to pull 3 wisdom teeth and one baby tooth that never fell out.

Has anyone had something similar done, with the bone graft? Can you tell me what I should expect? I'm seeing an oral surgeon in a few weeks for a consultation but I would love to hear from you all first.
