Has anyone noticed since surgery that they have really bad skin argh I seem to have a really bad out break of spots and just all round bad skin. Im wondering is this due to the anesthetic???

My skin actually got better right after the surgery, my mom said perhaps because of the antibiotics.

I don't know about anaesthetic, but it could also be a number of other things: post-surgery adrenaline coming down, your diet since surgery or even aircon in the hospital! I get breakouts after I've been stressed or whenever I'm somewhere that's heavily air-conditioned. Hope it's not too bad though

I haven't had surgery yet, so I really cannot shed any light on this related to that experience; however, I figured something out related to myself and breakouts. I am in my mid-20's and didn't have any trouble with it my whole life...until I hit 25. I didn't have bad ones, but they were more painful and harder to get rid of. I started to use a salycic acid wash and toner to clear up my breakouts, but it only got worse. I switched over to a benzoyl peroxide wash after some research and that has made all of the difference in the world with my skin. The salycic acid caused a bad reaction in my case.
Hope this helps!

Yes, I'm getting pimples around the mouth area that just don't want to go away! At least they might be a distraction from the puffy face and elasticized mouth!!!

Yep. The first week, or 2 weeks was pretty horrible. When I saw my surgeon the first time post-op he notived straight away and said it's just what happens from 'the stuff they use'. I assumed he meant whatever substance they put on your face to keep it clean.
The really bad pimples went away after a few weeks, but I still have more than what is normal for me, mainly around the chin. Sadly I'm still in the spotty stage of life anyway

The first few weeks after the surgery, my face got really oily. I think it was because the skin was so stretched from the swelling and the oil glands went crazy. But I didn't have any breakouts the first few weeks, just oily skin. After my swelling went down, my skin calmed down. But now I'm 2 months post-op and my face is starting to break out.
