I went on the ZNS website to order the zip'n'squeeze bags, etc but everytime I click to order it says 'this receipeint is currently unable to receive money'.
Is there any other place I can order these products?

If you do a search on this website, there is info about this company, I think they are out of business

Oh no! How am I supposed to 'eat' after surgery????

I got some syringes to take home with me from the hospital.

I was able to drink from a cup right after surgery though and get the liquid between my teeth, thats pretty much what I've been doing so far cause I find the syringes to be a bit too slow. You will find a way I'm sure.

Check with your surgeon on this - mine told me I wouldn't need any special eating syringes as i'll be able to drink from a cup and use a teaspoon. Hope he's right!

I bought everything 8 months ago from that company to assist in my post-op for upper, lower and genio and trust me-I didn't need it! Everyone is correct that the syringe that they give you in hospital is too small. I didn't eat or drink anything for my 2 day stay in hospital. I was attached to an IV and that gave me what I needed. When I got home I used syringes for a couple of days but should of just skipped to cup. I only ate in the bathroom for the first month as I had no feeling in my lips and couldn't tell when I had food on my face. The one time I drank in front of my sister, it wasn't till after she left that I realized that I had dried soup on my face. She said she didn't want to embarrass me-LOL-really? I ate in private until I was almost 2 months post op. My OS gave me a really great liquid diet book. I actually have never eaten so good in my life. I attribute that to the fact I couldn't squeeze any cookies or cake into my mouth! I would literally blend anything-eggplant parm, turkey dinner w/ stuffing-anything just stock up on alot of chicken, beef and vegetable broth to make thin. You have to stick to strickly clear liquids the first 3-5 days if I remember correctly to avoid mucus issues. Remember the thinner the dinner the easier to keep mouth clean as brushing is difficult.

Go to your nearest homecare medical supply store and buy some syringes. They will also give you some at the hospital.

Not everyone uses zip n squeeze.

zip n squeeze are out of business well over a year now so you can rest assure people are doing fine without them.

Are you with the NHS? they should have these. Yes purple handles, they don't get stuck compared to allclear syringes. I was also given baby beaker.

What you don't yet know is if you'll be banded shut, so ask first. In my case i was wearing the same four tight elastics for five weeks, being unable to open mouth at all but ate fine because of a missing tooth i point the syringe in the gap. Definitely advise avoiding acidic and sugary food during that time.

get a sippy cup, baby spoon and just chop everything up real fine. I lived on spaghetti curt up in small pieces. Jello and pudding.

I skipped the whole syringe thing and went straight to straws and sipping directly from cups. Fortunately, even with double jaw surgery for an underbite, my lower lip and jaw didn't go numb at all - only my upper gums and cheeks - so I didn't have to deal with the dribble problem.
