would you recommend?

I think most on the board were saying 2 or 3 weeks, but I don't want to look all bruised if I'm working with clients.
Swelling is fine, as long as it doesn't look like I've been beaten up.

2-3 weeks sounds good. Though it was still hard for me to talk for long until 6 weeks or so...

This varies in where you live. My first operation I was advised two weeks recovery. After the second I had to return to University three days post operatively and the third I had to return to my Work Placement within a week.
I work with patients (currently studying towards a medical degree) and have had a few strange looks, however, most patients were understanding once I explained the situation! Best of Luck.

in the end it all depend on you. No really. It depend on how fast you will recover. Everybody is different. I would take more than needed and if you dont need it then just advise your boss that you will come back earlier he will be happy. it's the "Scotty" rule. ( as scotty in THIS IS SPAM PLEASE REPORT TO ADMINISTRATOR THIS IS SPAM PLEASE REPORT TO ADMINISTRATOR THIS IS SPAM PLEASE REPORT TO ADMINISTRATOR THIS IS SPAM PLEASE REPORT TO ADMINISTRATOR THIS IS SPAM PLEASE REPORT TO ADMINISTRATOR ) give eta more time than needed and when you finish earlier then you will be seen as a miracle worker and a fast one.

haha... sounds good!!
the oral surgeon had said around 2 weeks. i asked him if he could write me up for 3 weeks and he said no problem. that way i have a full 3 weeks if needed and if I feel up to coming back it's fine.

i hope by 3 weeks the bruising is gone.
