HELP: Mentalis Muscle Strain and Lip Incompetence Problem

#1 Post by Krys »

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum, I must say I am very happy to have come across this website/forum, seeing how I am not the only one who have these sort of problems. I am posting this in hopes that someone can advise me their opinion. Straight to the point:

Problem 1: Protruding front teeth
Problem 2: Short roots in two front teeth
Causes: Lip incompetence
Solution: braces $6,500 + teeth extraction $500 + dental implants x2 12,000= $19,000 total

Problem 3: Lip incompetence
Causes: Mentalis muscle strain
Solution: as above

Problem 4: Mentalis muscle strain
Causes: Makes me extremely self conscious and insecure
Solution: chin augmentation $4,000, genioplasty $4000, osteotomy, jaw surgery

Now my question to you is,
What did you do to fix your mentalis straining?
Which one of the solutions in problem 4 will fix my mentalis muscle strain?
Can braces fix my muscle strain?
Does my alberta health care cover any of this?
What is your opinion about this?

Hey Krs, welcome to the board! It is an absolute goldmine of information. To attempt to answer your question it is necessary to identify what is causing your mentalis strain. It could be one of a number of factors and depending on which that will be the thing that needs to be corrected to solve your mentalis strain and lip incompetence. If you could post a picture of your face from the front and another from the side that will make it a lot easier for people to help advise you.

Thanks anyways!
