Sorry Badbite--I am scheduled now for either Jan 17th or 21st--depends on if they are doing surgeries or not on MLK day!

Good luck December folks!! The toughest part is soon to be behind you! It all gets better, starting from the moment you leave the hospital.

Keep us updated on your dates and progress, and let us know if you have questions that we may be able to help with. I know that, for me, one of the best ways to track and stay upbeat about my own recovery is to try to follow and help other people while they do the thing.

And, seriously, it is already shaping up to be one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I hope you all have a similar experience.

I apologize for the poor language skills. I work nights and the mental pistons were not all in firing mode, haha. I meant to say "snuck". I had my OS appointment yesterday and asked for the end of December if possible. Luckily, he had one surgery on the 29th and approved mine for the same day. Woohoo! I have a class III underbite and as far as which jaw will move is uncertain until the pre-op on the 23rd; however, I do know that I will be having both jaws as I need a maxilliary impaction and a rotation of the mandible to correct my midline.

I am relieved, because for the last two years I have felt like my life was in limbo. Like I couldn't make any serious life plans until this was taken care of, so I am relieved and anxious at the same time. The terror hasn't sunk in quite yet. Looks like we have a small group for the December buddies...best of luck to you guys!!

I'm scheduled for Dec 21st - Lefort 1. Quite nervous about it right now, which needs to wait until after finals next week. :yikes: Good luck to all of you who have them soon!
