I'm 7 weeks post upper and lower jaw surgery. If I'm remembering correctly, my upper jaw was moved forward 3mm and lower jaw moved back 9mm. I had braces on for 14 months before surgery. I had an under bite, assymentry and a slanted lower jaw. I'm sure the pictures will speak for themselves!

I never smiled with my teeth before braces.

Don't mind how bad I look, these were taken morning of surgery at like 6 or 7am.

A couple of hours after surgery (Post op day 0):

Trying to drink, although to be honest, the first day I only had a couple of sips of water.

2.5 weeks post op (I didn't really take many pictures between then and now but I basically looked the same with swelling going down slowly after this point):

Ortho is going to try and correct midlines which are a bit off to the left

I'm on day 3 now and my swelling is HORRIBLE. When did you find that it started noticably going down?

Wow!!! Congratulations on everything; surgery and recovery! I'm already excited for my double jaw surgery and I don't even have it scheduled yet! Haha I wonder if I need braces for the duration you had them on for; I get mine on May 4th, and I was originally told about 9 months of braces before I could go for surgery, so I was hoping I could do the double jaw surgery around the same time I did my SARPE.

Your swelling seemed to peak early. I'm day 6 and still swelling more each am.

Thanks so much guys! I'm really happy with the results so far. I still have some residual swelling in my cheeks and chin, which seems to be worse in the mornings, probably because I'm a stomach/side sleeper. I go back to work tomorrow (only for 6 hours though, my normal shift is 12), so I'm excited to see all my co-workers again.

Most of my swelling starting going down from about day 5until the 2 and a half week mark. From then it's slowly been coming down but not really noticeably from day to day. I sent a picture of myself to a friend who I haven't seen since last week (to show her my new haircut) and the first comment she made was that the swelling looks much better.

Your results are great! You are natuarlly very pretty and this just added to it.
