Sleeping Post-Op

I'm currently 11 days post-op and can sleep through the night, but I wake up every 2-2.5 hrs like clockwork, and it doesn't feel nearly as refreshing as say sleeping a continuous 8 hours. I have recently started dreaming again, which I guess is a good sign of quality sleep. Has anyone else experienced anything similar, and how long was it before you could sleep through the entire night without waking up?

I had the same problem, most times it felt like I was not very refreshed when I woke up in the morning. It was probably closer to 3 weeks post-op that I felt like I'd had a good nights' sleep.

I didn't sleep much the first two weeks -- wasn't used to sleeping on my back with my head elevated. Plus I wasn't exercising, and sitting around the house on your isn't the optimal way to work up to a good sleep.

My surgery is next week so I have been already practicing sleeping on my back. Hopefully I can get used to it by then so it is not as much as a factor for me.
