So here are pics of my mouth from the day before surgery til now....

result of 7 days turning the RPE 2times a day and 4 days of turning the RPE 3times a day... 11 days total 26 total turns... 13mm total expansion from turning alone.... I was told I got about 6-8mm during surgery so that 19-21mm of expansion

I'm unfamiliar with this device and the surgery you had, what are they trying to acheive here? Widening of your palette?

Surprisingly it wasnt as painful as it looks... However I had A LOT of swelling and discomfort!

The procedure I had done is called Surgically Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion or SARPE for short. I had the surgery to correct a narrow top jaw. Unfortunately I couldn't even get braces without having this procedure :-\
