Am I the only lucky one?

July 25th here, counting down the days. I'm trying to start putting a list together on what I need to buy before surgery. This next week is my only slow week until all of my appointments start rolling in. My OS office told me I should use a sippy cup instead of a syringe. Anyone else?

I've been lurking for about 18 months, but I'm up for BSSO and genio on the 21st, i have a appointment with my surgeon tomorrow and my list of questions is growing.

Ive actually created a physical list of questions as every time i visit him i always seem to forget what i was going to ask.

w0nnie, good luck! I have a physical list too, otherwise, I'd forget everything in the chaos of the appointment. You are only four days ahead of me with your surgery! Misery loves company

Hey, I just found out on Monday, I'm July 14th !!! Yay !!! I've been waiting for 5 months to get in, I thought I was going to have to wait until December (due to work & surgeons schedule) but I got lucky with a cancellation !!!

3 weeks out from surgery and im now on antibiotics due to a chest infection, im hoping 3 weeks is long enough for this to clear up otherwise ill probably have to cancel

Just found out I'm July 13th. Been lurking on here for a little bit. Having my upper jaw moved forward. Hoping that some of the crappy aspects of it will be lessened by only having one jaw broken. Praying for a great surgery for everyone!

15th July here, 8 days to go!

I'm getting my lower jaw bought forward (BSSO) and also getting a genioplasty to give my chin more definition.
I'm actually really excited about all this, and can't wait to go in and get it done. I'm 24 and have had braces for around a year, and can't wait to get them off now. I paid for the braces privately, and am getting the surgery done on the NHS, which has been fine so far so fingers crossed. I've googled my surgeon, and he seems to have a very good reputation, and works for half the week at a private hospital, so I feel safe in his hands at aleast . My orthodontist is also great actually, so things have gone smoothly so far.

Havn't really done any plannning or buying, apart from a blender of course. Is there anything else you guys are buying in preparation? Would be interesting to see what people have been recommended.

Add yourself in July people! There must be more of us out there? It would be nice to get a little community together so we can all moan together about swelling etc.etc.

Hi! My surgery is also in July. July 19th to be exact. I'm having Lefort I and BSSO. I'm nervous about it but I am also thankful I found this message board. Thank you to all who have contributed with pre and post suplies. It's really helping to know what I will need.

Hi all. Newbie here. I'm also having surgery July 13 to correct a class III. Lefort I and BSSO. Also, I'm having some bone grafted from my mandible to my maxilla.

Hi talkalot24,

Your surgery sounds similar to mine, except that I'm not having any bone grafted. You'll be going into surgery 6 days before me. I pray all goes well for you. Keep us posted if you can.
