Hi,
I am soon to consult an oral surgeon in chicago for orthognathic surgery to perform a lefort 1 ostetomy. Currently i am trusting my orthodontics to recommend me to a surgeon, however i also wanted to find other people opinions regarding surgeons in chicago. If anyone had a surgery in chicago, or know somebody reputable here, please recommend me.
I have heard Dr larry wolford from TX, and Dr Gunson from CA are world expert in orthognathic surgery, however as i am based in chicago, i wanna find someone local before taking that route.
Anyone from chicago for recommendation?

I havent had my surgery yet or have chosen my surgeon, but I have consulted with Dr.Gunson and another surgeon in the chicagoland area who was wonderful to talk to and does his surgeries in conjunction with the Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago.... I am still considering him, please contact me if you would like his contact information. He also did a surgery on a youtuber ( thats how I found him) and her results are amazing!

I have only consulted with Gunson and still deliberating if I will go with him or Dr.Jacobs or someone else, its tough. I highly recommend consulting with a few surgeons till you find one that understands your needs and is on the same page as you.

I met with Dr. Stohle - nice guy and I got the impression he is confident in his abilities. He also hit upon all of my concerns without me having to ask about them including esthetics.
He's done orthognathic surgery thousands of times and it is pretty much all he does.
