Good Surgeons in Montreal, Canada --- or Toronto ... Anyone?

#1 Post by armack »

Hi,

anyone knows a good surgeon in Montreal or Toronto??

I'm looking at Surgeon who has Aesthetics skills and background. Like say they can see if whether you need a rhinoplasty, genioplasty, or cheek implant along with the Jaw Surgery.

Some surgeons are plain technical and don't see the Aesthetics aspect of your face... I don't need these surgeons.

I'm from Montreal, by the way.

Thanks in advance :)

I have yet gone to my first appointment with my potential surgeon but I have been refered by my ortho to dr Bergeron, a plastic surgeon. But I am not sure myself whether a plastic surgeon or oral surgeon is better as oral surgeon might be doing more orthognatic surgery than a plastic surgeon...

Ill keep you updated after my appointment with the dr to let me know what I think of him if you like

Sarahn, i appreciate your Response. I hope that you will the most qualified Surgeon. Although i'm a little confused about the referred Doctor-- Isn't he/she a maxillofacial surgeon with expertise in Aesthetics as well? Is this from Montreal or Toronto?

Please keep this Thread posted, thank you..

He's a plastic surgeon first and foremost and he offers orthographic surgery. Have a look at his website, although there are no before and after pictures because it is illegal for doctors in Quebec to post them online. drbergeron. ca. He has an office in Montreal and another one in the suburbs of Montreal.

I go to Dr. Caminiti at Crescent Oral in Toronto, ontario.
There are a couple different surgeons there, but I was referred to him.
He removed my third molars almost a year ago, and he did an amazing job.
He's doing my double jaw surgery and genioplasty in the fall.
He has a very good reputation for creating stable bites with very low risk of relapse.

Hi Sarahn,

Have you been able to meet up with Dr Bergeron? If yes, what do you think of him? :)

By the way, have you heard of a surgeon named Antoine Chehade?

As of now, i'm still not meeting up with any surgeon. I just feel i have to do more researches first.

Thanks..

First appointment is this Tuesday actually, super exited for some reason. I don't know anyone who had anything done with dr Chehade, I had researched into him too and he sure has a lot of good review.

Will keep you posted!

So my appointment today went well. The only negative thing I have to say about this doctor is that he will no perform any other procedures to your face at the same this as your jaw surgery. You'd have to wait from 6 months to a year after your jaw surgery, he won't do it prior to the jaw surgery either. I am a bit disappointed of having to wait 3 years for surgery I feel I'm ready for now. But I will still be going with this doctor: he sure seems to know what he is talking about. I also like that he perform his operations in a private hospital not in a private clinics/strip mall setting like most plastic surgeons.

And he told me he is slowly closing his Montreal office, he barely works there anymore so you'd likely have to go to his office in the suburbs (st-Hubert) which is not to far from Montreal but a bit of a pain in the *** to get to if you don't have a car like me.

Hi Sarahn, I know it's been awhile, and I'm not sure if you still frequent this forum. Can you tell me if the 3 years you have to wait for surgery refer to the jaw surgery itself or the other procedures you wanted to get done? I really hope I won't have to wait 3 years to get surgery. I'll be 31 by then.

I meant I have to wait 1 year after jaw surgery to get anything else done. The waiting time for jaw surgery itself is between 1 to 2 years depending on your situation. It you're getting teeth pulled like me it is likely to take longer.
