Hi everyone,
I had double jaw surgery, where they reset my jaw and as of yet my swelling has not gone down. Actually it worsens when I use my jaw during the day.
Is this normal? -thanks.

Are you just a little swollen? Or are you still as swollen as you were three days after surgery? As I understand it, some swelling is normal for quite some time after surgery, but the worst of it should be over after the third or fourth day post-surgery.
I've read that if your swelling goes down, and then comes back, or there is constant pain, that may be a sign of an infection.
In any case, I would definitely call or see your surgeon and ask them if your amount of swelling is normal.

I am a little swollen, basically , it makes my face look 'fat', and hides my jawline.
It keeps coming up during the day as I use my jaw etc.
