Loose tooth 2.5 years after SARPE?!

I had bimax surgery in August 2010. All healed okay in the end. I had my palate expanded in three places - front four teeth were sawn off then replaced with bone graft from my hip. I've just been on my honeymoon and drunkenly tried to shave bits of coconut off the tip of one with my front teeth - ever since then whenever I eat or bite on the side by my right canine, I hear a loud crack and it feels very dodgy. Is it possible I've screwed something up related to the expansion? I'm terrified!

I realize your post was a long time ago, but how are your teeth now? This is one reason I'm scared of jaw surgery. I had braces as a child and your roots can resorb a bit whenever you have braces, so I'm scared to get them again because I really don't want to lose my teeth. I'm wondering if anyone here who has gone through surgery has had any problems with loose teeth aftewards or even years later down the road.
