Best food processors in the UK??

#1 Post by Lc1987 »

I'm currently looking at buying a food processor as i'm going to be having surgery within the next two months.

I'd like to get a decent one thats not too expensive (naturally)

I've looked at reviews....but lets be honest, you guys are the best people to ask as you've used them lots!!

People from other countries feel free to suggest ones you've had but obviously I'm most interested in ones that are available in the UK.

Thanks in advance!!

Well I can tell you not to get the Kenwood BL237 that Argos sell as it's not good enough even thought it had good reviews. Guess people who reviewed it weren't trying to liquidise everything!

I have a Vitamix, and I LOVE it. (I bought it because I used to be a chef and having good kitchen equipment is important to me.) It could probably liquify an iPhone (side note: here's a guy actually blending an iPhone - though not with a Vitamix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qg1ckCkm8YI).

Warning - Vitamix blenders are not inexpensive. I think I paid $300-$400 for mine. But, it will probably outlast me, and it will blend anything without the motor burning out. I've read a lot of people on this board who like the 'magic bullet' but I can't vouch for it myself, and I don't know if it's available in the UK.
