Follow up surgery required

Hi,
I just had double jaw surgery and genioplasty end of last week. Recovery has been okay - swelling is reducing though I still look like the elephant man but hopefully will continue coming down over the next couple of weeks while im off work. Saw the surgeon post operation a few days afterwards and he thought everything looked fine hopefully the orthodontist thinks it's been ballsed up as my jaw is way off where it was expected. Looks like follow up surgery will be required to fix it - anyone have any experience of follow up surgery? Was it easier the second time - recovery etc?
Quite annoyed that it seems I'll have to have another surgery given the cost, number of pre surgery consultations etc where this is supposed to be planned and sorted out but hey such is life - just hope it all works out well in the end. Anyone any second surgery experience they can share to put my mind at ease?
