Post-surgical jaw movement

Hi,
I had upper jaw surgery a little over a month ago and just got the bands removed on tuesday. I have been excited about being able to open my mouth but recently noticed that when I close my mouth my teeth on top are moving slightly. I opened and closed my mouth in front of my surgeon and he didn't say anything was wrong but I've been worried about it anyway. I was just wondering if this is normal.
