soreness post-op?

I had a lefort 1- 5 weeks ago. My teeth are still banded shut and some of my bottom teeth are sore (mainly one). I am sure it is aggravated by the fact that my teeth are pushed together 23 hours a day (except for eating soft-chew) and I know that ortho will do adjustments. The main tooth that is sore is a crown/root canal and looks high so I am guessing it may need a bite adjustment in the next few months. Probably bruising of periodontal membrane. Has anyone else dealt with soreness like this (from teeth that are too high)? Just curious. Does ortho do bite adjustments or only dentist?
