Congratulations on setting a date!

Make sure you have a variety of liquids and eventually soft foods. Also if you don't have one a travel pillow (u shaped) is a life saver.

Congrats! I'm one week out and feeling pretty good already! I will say that the better hydrated and well fed you keep yourself immediately after, the easier it will be to bounce back. I was scorned by my OS for being dehydrated and losing 5 lbs, which I thought wasn't a lot...

But it does make a difference..my energy is sloooowly returning.

I did it!!1 I'm 5 weeks post op now! I think Dr. arnett and Gunson are so amazing love them.

The first week was incredibly rough but now I am coasting. I still can't speak clearly which I was not expecting this far out to have my facial muscles still be so numb but each day its better and better.

I lost 20 pounds the first two weeks. I have only gained a few back still trying to be good at eating it is so hard! but everything looks good so far. edited to progress farther along and see how everything looks.

What did they end up doing for your surgery? Upper, lower, both? Banded, wired, splint?
