Increased Swelling 2 Months after Surgery

#1 Post by nyc1002 »

Everything seemed to be going ok and swelling seemed to be going down little by little but overnight there is severe swelling on the right side of my lower jaw. And it feels tender to the touch and hard. I went to see my doctor and he took xrays and is "puzzled" at what the issue is. He's not sure if it's an infection but the xrays don't indicate one. Has anyone had this happen 2 months after surgery?? Please let me know if you have and what it could mean. I am worried sick. Thank you!

Plugged salivary duct or gland?

Try eating sour candies or lemon juice to increase saliva production.

****not a doctor and this info is worth every penny you've paid for it.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!
