Hi guys, I'm on day 45 post op double jaw surgery, and I went to the gym to lift. Did 3 sets of forearm curls and 3 exercises of bicep curls with medium heavy weights. Would u guys say it's too early to be lifting? Or is it okay by this point?

I think you're fine; you're 6+ weeks out of the surgery now. The important thing is to listen to your body and not to continue if you feel any pain or discomfort.

I asked my surgeon specifically about weight training post-op and she said I was only allowed to do it after 12 weeks post-op. I was allowed to start running/doing cardio at ~6 weeks post-op. She said she was concerned I would clench my teeth together too hard and mess something up if I started weight training any earlier.

Ask your surgeon. The answer for YOU is based on answers to questions we don't have. (For my case, I was on restrictions longer because thin cortical bone extended my healing time.)

Yea It was a quick 15 min workout and I work on my bicep with medium weight so I did not clench my teeth.
