Jaw Surgery and Singing

#1 Post by bracefacemama »

Hey Everyone.

I know I'm going to be posting a lot of questions in the next few weeks. T-minus 4 weeks until surgery.
I'm having upper jaw surgery to correct an open bite and I know that it will interfere with my nose at least partially since where its being plated is quite close to the nasal cavity.
Has anyone who sings had issues with their singing post surgery? I think thats my biggest concern right now

I've actually read more than once that the surgery will improve your singing voice. I think there are some threads here about it, and I know there is an older blog somewhere in cyber space written by a music teacher.
