Salivary stone caused by jaw surgery?

So I'm 4 months post-op and no complications or anything, but this morning I woke up and the right salivary gland under my jaw was kind of swollen, and I had pain on that side under my tongue. I also felt like a pimple in the center under my tongue, so I went to check in the mirror and saw what looked like a white head on the right saliva duct. I thougth maybe the pimple was causing the pain and the swollen gland, so I washed my hand and pressed it gently, and a small stone came out.
I was a little stunned because this has never happened to me. I looked it up and apparently "salivary stones" that can form in the salivary ducts. After removing it, the pain instantaneously went away, and the gland slowly started unswelling until it was a normal size. It still feels lightly sore in that area but nothing else.
I'm just wondering if anyone else had this happen after the surgery. Could there have been so some of damage to the duct to cause this? I'm hoping it's just a one-off event, because after reading more about it, it seems like I was lucky that the stone pushed out easily. Some people require surgery to remove them, or they have to wait like a week with a swollen gland and pain until it gets out. Yikes...
