Upper Jaw Moved Too Far Forward?
Hi all! So I had double jaw surgery almost 6 months ago, and I'm not entirely satisfied with how my profile looks. My surgeon had initially told me that I could have either just a lower jaw surgery or a double jaw surgery, as my upper jaw was a little tilted. After speaking with another surgeon who encouraged me to go for the double jaw surgery, since according to him my upper face could use more "definition," I decided to go for the double jaw surgery. When telling my surgeon about what the other surgeon had told me, my surgeon got the impression that what I was trying to tell him was that I wanted bigger cheeks, and he told me he'd take that into consideration. To be honest, I'm not really sure what I wanted my final result to look like when I was going into the surgery, but what I ended up with just doesn't really seem exactly right to me.
What do you all think? Am I being too hard on myself? Or are my concerns valid? I swear this whole experience has given me some mild body dysmorphia. :'( The first three pictures are from before my surgery. The fourth and eighth pictures bother me the most, as I feel like my lower jaw looks too strong in them.

I see nothing wrong with the result. Looks like a very normal profile. It could be you just aren't used to it.
Re: Upper Jaw Moved Too Far Forward?
Your profile looks very natural and your proportions are good. I believe reducing the lower jaw would have given you a weak/recessed jaw. No part of your profile strikes me as out of balance. You look great... now smile and show off the perfect bite!!!

You look FABULOUS. It takes some time to get used to a new face, but rest assured you are gorgeous.

Wow look how good you look! Well done to your surgeon. I wish more people could get such great results! Hopefully I will too
Re: Upper Jaw Moved Too Far Forward?
No way, you look great. If the upper jaw is too recessed a person gets lip wrinkles and deep manaquin lines... your surgeon did a great job!
Re: Upper Jaw Moved Too Far Forward?
It looks perfectly normal - which is the best result possible in my book.
