RME removal

#1 Post by Dittybug »

I had my RME removed today, about 4 months after my sarpe surgery. It wasn't due to come out for a few more weeks but it had started getting embedded into the roof of my mouth/gum. Gosh it hurt to have it removed! I now have a plate temporarily to hold the gap following SARPE until the new appliance in about 1 months time. Having trouble talking again and just wish the next step would be here already.

Oof, that sounds brutal, but congrats on the removal! What’s the rest of your journey look like?

Ouch, that sounds frustrating.

Are you still expanding your RME? I only had my RME in for 90 days, and only expanded it during the first 2 or 3 weeks. Just curious why your RME is in your mouth for so long.
