Got mine 8 months ago. I have gotten all positive comments from friends and family!
I love all the changes and totally forget they are even there.

I turned 56 on May 27th, had just gotten my braces on a week earlier on the 20th. 
Braces, Transpalatal Arch and Lower Lingual Arch
Start Date: 05/20/2015 (1 week before my 56th birthday)
Estimated Treatment Time: 24 months
Debond Date: 10/19/2017 (2 years 5 months)

My braces are my 50th birthday present to myself this year and, hotdangit, they are the best pressie ever, bar none!

I realize this is an old post, but I couldn't resist responding as I am soon to get braces at the ripe young age of 56 as well! Glad to find others in our age bracket (pardon the pun!) here.
