Root Canal During Invisalign Treatment

#1 Post by jhass81 »

Hi,

What happens if you crack a tooth during your invisalign treatment and need to have a root canal and crown?

Thanks in advance!

I would guess that you'd need to get a refinement done since the aligners probably won't fit perfectly anymore.

This is not a likely scenario since you likely had an FMX taken and diagnosed before begining treatment. Any restorations should have been addressed prior to treatment. If you have an accident and need endo, then you likely will not have the definitive restoration until after treatment is complete, although it would be on a case by case basis.

Rory
