Almost done with Invisalign

Well, I'm finally almost done with Invisalign. I'm on Aligner 42 of 48. The movement of my teeth has been amazing, but it is coming down to the wire on the two teeth to the side of my front teeth which were the most crooked. One has moved nicely into place, the other is still misaligned slightly (it was WAY off when treatment started, now it's passable but not perfect), but my ortho says not to worry because that my retainers are fitting perfectly still and that tooth will move ... I'm getting a bit afraid, though, of what will happen if it doesn't.

So, what does/has happened for others at the end of treatment.

Also, my ortho mentioned something about wearing a retainer 20 hours a day for the first year! This was a shocker. I thought the retainer was just for night once treatment was done.

If your teeth aren't where they should be at the end then refinement is usually done to finish things.

ugh, don't scare me about the retainer! I too am almost done, i'm on #15 out of #18, 7 weeks left!! And when the dentist originally spoke about a retainer all those weeks ago, I too assumed it was something you wear at night, yet I see posts on this and other boards that make me think otherwise...I will certainly be ticked if that's the case since I was never warned of that whatsoever!!
