every 2 weeks?

I just went in for my normal 12 week visit. I'm on aligner 13 (of 20U, 22L). As we were waiting for the ortho, the assistant asked me how long I wear each set. I was slightly confused because I thought everyone wears them for 2 weeks before switching to the next set. So I asked "what do you mean". And she said (and I quote), "6 days? 7 days?". and I said two weeks! she said, oh. So my question is...does anyone change to the next set after six or seven days?? I believe this is possible because I know my teeth are moved within the first two days, but i didnt ask my ortho.

Nobody should switch after that amount of time because the bone needs the full two weeks to heal. Some people who don't listen to their orthodontist and do what they want and switch early complain about loose teeth it can also cause root damage and although it may not effect you now it will in the future. Why do you think you only get braces adjusted every like 6 weeks? Its because your bone needs to start healing. I suggest you stick to your orthos prescribed plan. Some orthos even make patients wear each aligner 3 weeks for better results.
