are my bite changes normal?
hi...i have been using invisalign for 19 days now....i'm on my second set of trays....and have noticed that when i take my trays out, my bite is complete different from where it was before i started treatment....on the right side of my mouth, the back top molars are barely touching the bottom ones.....whereas before the treatment began, they touched firmly. Are these changes normal?? i am worried that they will never touch correctly again.

This is very normal.

Remember: your orthodontist knows your dental history and orthodontic condition best. I can guide you toward better orthodontic information than if you were left on your own and hopefully in doing so play a small part in your quest to achieve a beautiful, fully functional smile, but you should consider your orthodontist the best source of information.

I have wondered the same thing. So, it is normal. But, does it ever go away????
My ortho seems convinced that it is just because of the rotation of some teeth but I am in the home stretch where most teeth have finished the major rotations and there hasn't been much change since a few aligners into the whole process. The bite seems perfect when my aligners are in - even back teeth touch. But when they are out, it is a completely different story.

The same thing happened to me, and it freaked me out! I explained how worried I was to my ortho, but he assured me that it was completely normal and expected.
As others mentioned, your bite may indeed be changing.
Or, as it happened with me, you are just used to having that plastic layer in your mouth for so long that without it, your teeth just don't feel right. So don't be too concerned if things still feel "funny" after your treatment is complete. It takes a couple weeks withtout that constant thickness to start feeling normal again. I've been braces-free for about 5 months, and my bite is feeling completely normal now.
