One tooth just won't move...

I have 43 upper trays and only 8 bottoms. The last appointment I had, I was finished with my bottom trays but one tooth hadn't yet moved where it should. My bottom teeth look PERFECT except for this one tooth, which is slightly out of place still. So my ortho did some IPR between all of my front teeth (he said there might not have been enough room for the tooth to slide back into place) and he told me to just keep wearing tray 8 until the next time I came in. Well, I am halfway done with tray 11 which means I'll be going back soon. That one tooth still hasn't moved where it should! They told me they may have to make a corrective retainer, which they can do in their office, but if that doesn't work they would order refinements from Invisalign. I am getting a little discouraged with this one stubborn tooth. Everything else is going great! But has anyone else had this problem?

Please don't get discouraged at this. I'm thinking with 43 on the top...he thinks he has plenty of time to take care of any problem you have on the bottom. It seems like you have an ortho that cares.....thats the ultimate. Sounds like he is gonna do everything to make you happy. And, hey, don't settle for less. I had a small setback, and yes, it's tough, but in the long run, its a small thing. Do you have any pics to post? (we love pics)!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got the same problem...I'm now on my last aligner of the top aligners and my eye tooth just won't budge. Ortho has sent me back several aligners twice and I'm not due to see him again until February. If he does it again I have to think seriously about switching doctors, but I'm not sure how that will work with payments. I do not understand why new impressions aren't being taken at this point. We'd discussed refinements and that's fine but I have nine more trays on the bottom.

I wish there were an easier way to get a second opinion...
