My Beginning

#1 Post by j3nnyb3an »

I got my trays today! I have 20 uppers and 20 lowers. So far so good for the most part. I have TMJ so I'm really curious to see how all of this will play out. I am experiencing discomfort as described in other posts but thanks to those posts I was prepared for it. It feels like a lot in my mouth right now and I know I'll adjust. I do have a headache and my jaw is super sore right now. Luckily, I have an awesome oral surgeon that is managing my pain. If I can figure out how to insert a picture, I will.

I really appreciate this forum and it has been more than helpful with all of the information on here. [/img]

Congratulations on your beginning treatment. I am just 2 weeks ahead of you, and started my second set of trays today. The pressure and mild pain is back, but if it progress like the first, it should be better in a few days. I hope you get fast relief from the TMJ, and that your discomfort also subsides in a few days. I guess with each new set of trays you start the pain cycle all over again, but it represents progress!
19 upper, 26 lower. Started with trays Feb. 18, 2008

Thank you so much!! And back at ya!! I figured I would go through this every two weeks but, in the end, if I have some relief from my original problem, I will be a very happy girl. It'll be well worth it. :D
