Well, I have had my clincheck on april 3rd. Since then, seems like they are trying to find ways to pull a make of money from me. In all, they want almost 15,000$ for the next 24 months max. Im not on treatment cause they always find a way to wait as long as possible to find something to make me pay for. For exemple, I have all the steps for invisalign (check up, impressions, clin check..) and now, they want to charge 300$ for an orthodontic check up when we know what its gonna be. He said, all we need now is to make reimpressions then send them to invisalign to go ahead with treatment cause we already had the clincheck. But then why have an appointment for an orthdontic check up ? to make him win 300$. Last time I went, they check my mouth, said they wanted to cherge me 1,920$ more then they were going to charge me, plus the 300$ that comes out of nowhere. Thats a total of 9,200$ plus after treatment, he wants to introduce 2 new teeths (Im not missing any teeths) for 6,000$. Adding up to 15,200$ for the next 18 months but I can pay in 24 months without interests.
THE question .... should I change ortho ? I want advice before I get ripped off totaly. They sure seem to like me over there.... wunder why!

For the clincheck to come back the first impressions would have to of been fine to use. i would assume that new impressions only be needed if the first set were not up to Invisaligns standards.... in which case they would have been unable to create the clincheck.
with that and the other extra charges in mind, i would definitely consider changing ortho's. or at least get a 2nd opinion from a different ortho.
edit: when i got my impressions done, we immediately realised that we screwed up because we were about to fix a chip on one of my teeth (skiing accident from a while back in NZ), so we fixed the chip then took new impressions.

I would definitely get a second opinion and see what they would be charging you. That sounds a little ridiculous that they keep springing new costs on you. unless you have had work done to alter your teeth since your first impressions I see no reason why you'd have to have a new set of impressions. If you or your ortho had a problem with your clincheck they wouldn't need a new set of impressions - they'd simply have to use your initial impressions to make a new computer video of your teeth. I think they are ripping you off.
