no longer waiting to smile - I cant seem to stop! (PICS)

#1 Post by waiting2smile »

Today I have offically ended my 3+ years on invisalign treatment!!!!

I endured my last set of mold and the speedbumps are gone. I really am thrilled with the results - my teeth are better than I could have imagined.

Thank you to everyone that has put in their 2 cents or lent their shoulder...it wasnt all fun all the time but it was most certainly worth it.

Pics coming soon...

Nice smile! :D That's a big improvement compared to how the front teeth used to be.

Wow! Your smile is great! I wonder did you have any teeth pulled? I am impressed that invisalign did all that to correct that crookedness. Makes me encouraged to see my smile. Only my treatment isn't supposed to take much more than a year.

Lilypad - Yes it is great to done however I still get the urge to brush my teeth 4+ times a day  My retainers are essix (I believe so anyways) they are just like the aligners minus the invisalign stamp and number. My dentist said they should last me quite awhile since I am not a grinder. They are a little bit shinier than the invisalign b/c they don’t have the same "topographical map" texture but they fit great and they are comfy so I’m pretty happy with them.

Lomdogs - no teeth pulled , the 3+ year treatment entailed moving my teeth back , back teeth first, and widening my arch - because my arch was so narrow to start ( my front teeth were very V-like if that makes sense) my overjet was reduced more than I think I am my dentist expected...as my teeth moved back my front teeth had room to line up and straighten out - I still have a bit of an overjet - Id need surgery to get it reduced further but I’m very very happy with the results as they are.

I was originally told 24 months and finished in 3 years and 4 months so don’t get down if treatment ends up being extended a bit (or a lot) everyone’s treatment is different - just do your best to stay positive and think of what a beautiful smile you'll have once it’s all said and done! :D

Everyone else - thank you again for the lovely compliments! I hope all of you are as happy with you results as I am!

The treatment was pretty long indeed, but the results are worth it. Your smile is just amazing ;)

Congratulations for this. Best of luck in the future.
